The Victoria Memorial is one of the most iconic landmarks of Kolkata and a symbol of colonial history in India. Built in memory of Queen Victoria, the monument is constructed entirely of white Makrana marble and designed in Indo-Saracenic style with influences of British and Mughal architecture.
